INTERNATIONAL DAY FIESTA AT CALEB BRITISH ACADEMY - BRAZILIAN GROUP

At Caleb British Academy we value the similarities and differences each person's cultural heritage brings to our lives. We celebrate and share our diversity on a daily basis both inside and outside the classroom in order to enrich the learning experience for our students and the whole school Community. International Day is a wonderful opportunity for the School Community to acknowledge and celebrate its diversity, making explicit one of the key features of our curriculum, namely, International Mindedness.

Through displays of food, games, drama, music, flags, traditions, costumes and languages for individual countries and continents, students, parents and teachers are reminded of the great number of commonalities and differences we have within our world and are given an opportunity to be open-minded to others. The theme for this year’s International Day is Different Colours, One Race.

The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday 14th July, 2016 where the best of different Countries/Continents will be showcased. The students and teachers have been grouped into six continents and each has adopted a country in their various continents to showcase at the event.
